Repair Network

Ensuring coverage across the UK is essential for providing effective Claims Solutions. So through our in-house engineers, Lex have agreed national labour rates, parts discounts and service levels for both cars and commercial vehicles.

Working with our preferred paint suppliers, we have undertaken audits of all repairers for technical expertise, equipment levels and customer service skills.

In today's world of increasing vehicle build technology we are confident that the Claims Solutions network has the necessary skills, equipment and know-how to ensure vehicles are rebuilt in accordance with manufacturer requirements.

The Claims Solutions Repair Network service standards include:

  • Free collection of damaged vehicles for repair.
  • Estimates produced same day or next day of arrival at the repairer's premises.
  • Mobile estimate where appropriate.
  • Immediate authorisation to commence repairs.
  • Use of a courtesy car for the duration of the repair.
  • Centralised billing for repair invoices.
  • Lifetime ownership of the vehicle repair warranty on all bodywork repairs.

Smart Repair

Claims Solutions, working in conjunction with our preferred suppliers has developed an innovative mobile repair process. This is designed to ensure that small cosmetic repairs are undertaken with the minimum of inconvenience to a bodyshop standard of finish.

This innovative solution ensures a speedy repair process - and keeps off road times to a minimum. Existing Customers have seen savings of up to 43%

Estimating Platforms

Claims Solutions can cater for a range of estimating platforms to ensure compliance with customer and insurer requirements.

Our preferred estimating platform InterEst provides repairers with a web based, Thatcham Licensed estimating platform. In adopting Thatcham approved repair methodology, we ensure opinion time is kept to a minimum. Repair over replacement is applied when ever practical to minimise repair costs.

We have invested heavily over the years to ensure that all estimate data integrates with our bespoke claims systems. This ensures an auditable and measurable repair cost by customer and by repairer.

Desktop Engineering

For cars and light commercial vehicles, we have access to a web based estimating platform. The Claims Solutions in-house engineers can:

  • View the area of damage
  • Assess the repair methodology
  • Confirm the new parts required
  • Authorise repairs

These costs are captured within our claims system to provide an auditable account settlement process and management information reporting.

Physical Inspection

We use a Physical Inspection process for two reasons; where the repair costs are likely to exceed our delegated authority limits, or we can't determine effective repair methodology using just images. We manage this process through independent engineers or through your own insurance company engineers.

Clams Solutions captures the date the vehicle is inspected and the date repairs are authorised. We also record the agreed costs and any special instructions or repair requirements specified by the engineer

Invoice Reconciliation

On completion of repairs, the repairers invoice is submitted to Claims Solutions for approval and reconciliation against the authorised costs. Working to minimal tolerance levels ensures costs are managed and invoices settled in a timely manner. This provides effective cash flow for the repairers and allows you or your insurers to reduce the levels of reserved costs for unpaid invoices.

Central Billing

Effective cost control is an essential element of the Claims Solutions Service. Using divisional and cost centre structures, we are able to provide you with an effective audit and recharge process. This enables you to calculate the cost of accident claims across your business.
