Who needs a Vehicle on Hire certificate?
UK motorists travelling abroad in a UK registered vehicle must carry its original Vehicle Registration Document (VRD). If your vehicle is hired or leased the Vehicle on Hire certificate is the normal alternative, which can be carried by the driver in lieu of the original VRD.
How do I get a Vehicle on Hire certificate?
The RAC will issue drivers of Lex and LVP vehicles a certificate - all you have to do is fill in the application form below and one will be sent to you. Alternatively you call 01454 209313.
Please note that 14 days notice is required to process your application.
