Lex publish new Capital Allowances and Lease Rental Restriction report
Lex demystifies new Capital Allowances and Lease Rental Restriction legislation with publication of new report.
Lex has published an informative report that examines the implications of the new emissions-based Capital Allowances and Lease Rental Restriction, due to come into force in April 2009. ‘The Capital Allowance White Paper’, analyses the likely financial impact of the recently finalised legislation and identifies potential winners and losers.
The free report, drawn up by Lex’s consultancy arm, Lex Momentum, is an up-to-date, definitive guide released to clear up the widespread confusion surrounding the biggest legislative change in the fleet industry since company car tax was first linked to CO2 emissions in 2002. The report addresses important issues such as:
The guide also provides a summary of how various vehicle price categories are likely to be affected; comparing common fleet vehicles contracted over 36 months and 60,000 total miles.
Jon Walden, Managing Director of Lex comments, “No fleet will be unaffected by this change. The good news for everyone is that it will encourage a move toward lower-emission vehicles and lower fuel bills. As with any change, though, there will be winners and losers. It’s vital that businesses act now to understand what impact the new legislation will have on them.”
