Lex publish "The Rough Guide To Company Cars 2008/9"

It has probably been the most challenging year yet for those who manage fleet vehicles. The cost of fuel and changes in emissions-based taxation are but two of the big issues impacting the fleet manager in 2008/9. That is why Lex has teamed up once again with Rough Guides to produce the 2008/9 version of the Lex Rough Guide to Company Cars which delivers a clearer picture of the issues and how best fleet managers can overcome them.

The guide is aimed at anyone who manages a company fleet, whether in a large organisation or a small business and pools the knowledge and first-hand experience of the experts at Lex and Lex Momentum (the consultancy arm of Lex). The Rough Guide sets out to tackle the burning issues of the day head-on by explaining how to:

• Reduce fleet costs
• Make your fleet greener
• Tackle the grey fleet
• Manage fleet risks
• Choose the right finance

The guide also turns the spotlight on the top 20 company cars and top 10 business vans of 2008/9, looks at how the fleet manager’s role has changed in 2008, and what the quest for ever-low CO2 emissions will mean for the company car of the future.

Jon Walden, Managing Director of Lex comments; “This edition of the Lex Rough Guide to Company Cars couldn’t have arrived at a better time for those who manage business fleets. 2008 has seen a lot of challenges for the fleet manager and this edition of the Lex Rough Guide encapsulates everything a fleet manager needs to know about how to overcome the issues and run a successful fleet in 2009”.
