New Quality and Environment Manager for Lex
Steve will be responsible for developing and implementing campaigns within Lex to deliver quality and environmental solutions which achieve acreditation via the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, which Lex first gained in 1998.
Often referred to as a business having the ‘kite-mark’, ISO accreditation (International Organisation For Standardisation) is awarded to a company, once it has met the strict criteria for the standards that it has set itself. In this case, ISO 9001 is based on quality management and the ISO 14001 based on environment saving procedures within the company.
Steve has worked for Lex for thirteen years, with the last two years being dedicated to project ‘Avalon’, the incorporation of the Godfrey Davis fleet into the Lex portfolio.
Commenting on the appointment, Jon Walden, Managing Director, Lex said: “We are delighted that Steve has taken on the role of Quality and Environment Manager. Lex was the UK’s first leasing company to be awarded ISO accreditation, and Steve’s appointment ensures that we continue to comply with the highest standards set by ISO both on a quality and environmental basis’.
